To create this print, first I had to find two diffrent pictures: an okapi, and a railroad background. I then had to create a sketch where the two pictures coexisted. I had to create the sketch so that it had texture, and that it was large enough to fit onto the lenolium slab.After I redrew the sketch a fewe times in my notebook, I tansfered the sktech onto the lenolium and soon after that I began to cut. I cut and carved into the lenolium and I watched to where I was cutting so that once it was done I rolled the paint on it, the right areas would be raises and sunken. I chose two diffrent colors of paint and construction paper for the final print making process.I chose puprle ink on yellow constrution paper, and, as you can see, pink ink on green constrution paper. It took a few days and plenty of sketching and redrawing and transfering, but teh final project seemed to be worth all of that.

In Visual Art class we used Photoshop to manipulate one
photo by using another. I learned a few new tips in how to edit photographs by
using different tools such as the Magic Wand, the Clone Stamp, the Liquefy
setting, and the Shadow Drop application. It was difficult at first, while
listening to a video instruction guide, but I soon got the hang of it. In this
picture I used a woman’s tongue and a picture of a frog. I used the Magic Wand
feature to crop and drag the frog onto the picture of the woman’s lower face. I
used the Clone Stamp tool to bring the texture and colors of the tongue onto
the frog. I also used the Shadow Drop feature to put a shadow under the cropped
frog to make it look as real as possible.

pancakes, and I cropped the jaw and mouth off a fish and after using the
liquefy setting. I was able to place the cropped mouth onto the pancakes to try
to combine the two pictures into one scary looking batch of pancakes.

From the start of the design phase, I took a picture of myself looking sad. I then went on Photoshop and manipulated the pictures contrasting points to make three colors stand out to create the facial structure. After, I took the photo and blew it up on a projectpr screen where I traced the colors seprately on diffrent peices of poster board. I cut out each color on the three diffrent poster boards that the color would show through. I got a peice of cardboard that was large enough to fit my entire peice on it. I chose light green, light blue, and purple to spraypaint onto the silver acrrilic painted cardboard. The days that I spraypainted where the windiest days of the week. You had to tape down your stenicle onto the cardboard before you spraypainted it so that the stencil would not move. After I sprayed the two largest colors, green and pruple, I was abou to spray the blue on when the wind blew and moved my stencil on the taped down cardboard at the last moment. Of course, I had to redo the bolue color and that's how I got to this piece. I personally think that I didn't do a good job, I wish it wasn't as windy outside the days I chose to spraypaint.

This is my conrour line drawing of one of my classmate's shoes. I found that this project in particular was easier than the other contoure line drawings that I had to complete. Even so, I don't think I did the best that I could have, it's not a perfect peice. If I were going to do this project all over again, I would concentrate more on the placement and spacing of the lines, like in fo rthe back sole of the shoe. The most difficult about this project would have to be just the fact that it's a contour line project, which means that you aren't allowed to pick up your pen from the paper. I learned that the longer you work on contoure line drawings, the better you will get, but I guess that's true with everything.

The main difference between using oil pastels in class and using the
Layers Pro app on the iPad to create value in shapes would have to be
the blending. I think that it is much easier to just use the Layers Pro
app to pull and mix the different colors into each other, even though it
was difficult at times too. I learn that if I only use three colors I
can make other similar colors as I blend and that will make the shapes
look better. The use of technology at Apex High for art classes is
really helpful in the way of expanding the many ways to create and look at art. It's also lots of fun trying something new and incorporating technology into my school life keeps things new and interesting.

This is Spyro the Dragon's skelleton. As you can see, he has his leg, arm, hands, feet, spine, skull and ribcage bones. Since he has a few spikes on his back, I attached them to his spinal cord. I also incorperated his tail all the way to the tip. I also used his breast plates as a part of his skelleton. His wing skelleton was fairly eaisy since you can mostly see it through his wing flaps.
